I chose this book because I want to learn how to reach the throne of GOd during prayer. I realize that there is prayer but then ther is a time when we pray, we tough the throne of God. This is intercessory prayer and this kind of prayer only happens in the inner chambers. This kind of prayer brings us closer to God and further away from the cares of life. When we enter the inner chambers and enter continuously, we then learn how to inter the inner life. I did not like the lay out of this book, but the material is a blessing.
This book is just revolutionising my time with God! Entering into the Holy of Holies each morning truly is the key to living a holy life and I think Andrew Murray really has tackled this topic exceptionally. I appreciate how he acknowledges the difficulty of returning to everyday interactions after spending the morning hour in the presence of God. This is an excellent book that I will be reading and re-reading over and over again as a reminder of the importance of abiding in Christ and His word abiding in us... Andrew Murray teaches us how to do that which is so valuable!
This is one of the best books I have read concerning our inner life which must be totally given over to our creator God. As we abide in him, he will teach us and help us to become like Jesus in our lives so that we can make a difference in our everyday world and help others to know Jesus too. Definitely a five star book.
For those Christians who have lost their zeal, who have weak faith, who want a more effective prayer life that gets results, and who desire to know true fellowship with God—this book is what you need to understand how these blessings can be achieved. It is a plain and simple manual that is also very practical.
The Inner Chamber and the Inner Life are books that help you in your spiritually growth with God. Andrew Murray is a great teacher in his writings. He's easy to understand and his main goal is to help you have the relationship with God that we all seek, but sometimes we are lacking because we don't know exactly how to go about it.
One of the only books on my carousel, constant resource to real truth. I read some of Andrew Murray's bio concerning 2 years of his life he was stricken with an illness that left he him mute and wondered if this book was during that experience. Excellent!
The content of the book is great it could be one of Murray's best writings but this book is some kind of cheap copy it's not a new reprint, already I have found 2 printing errors just reading about 1/10th of the book , also the print is rather small some people may have trouble reading it. I'm going to have to purchase another older used copy that doesn't have the defects mentions here, I can't send this back because I spilled some coffee on it otherwise I'd send it back in a flash!
